A brand book that outlines the visual guidelines for
Sunflower Outdoor + Bike Shop in Lawrence, KS.
As a singular flagship store, Sunflower owns a unique space on massachussettes street. Offering seperate spaces for clothing, camping, and biking alongside a dedicated bike shop and cafe / bar space as well as a burgeoning wellness studio. Based on these factors the brand needed to bring some consolidation to foster a central voice to these offerings.
The brand would need to function not only in packaging, retail, and food, but building an active community
Sunflower’s mission is to fuel the self propelled.
Solution
The brand takes advantage of iconography, typography, and imagery to reflect the visual motifs of the National Parks in the United States as a means to give their customers direction to fuel their adventures.
The graphic system takes advantage of the 8 point compass as inspiration. Using symbols to quickly direct customers to all Sunflower has to offer.
