An example case study of my process for icon design.
Once photographic, social, cultural, and environmental data on pandas was collected, I began exploring 12 different methods of abstracting the animal into a symbol.
After 3 rounds of iterations I had reached a point where I was content with the grouping.
For the next project I began to think conceptually of a food choice which best fit my brands thematic words “Bold” and “Whimsical”. In many cultures pandas are seen as symbols of good luck which coincides well with the act of toasting drinks and wishing goodwill upon others.
This led me to make a vodka seltzer that uses bamboo water, which contains an increased amount of micronutrients compared to distilled water.
